JAX 4 MONTH CHECK UP!!
YES, DADDY GOT TO DO ALL THE FUN STUFF AND TOOK OFF WHEN THE NURSE CAME IN FOR THE SHOTS! HE SAID HE HAS NEVER SEEN JAX CRY REALLY AND DID NOT WANT TO SEE HIM WHEN HE GOT THE SHOTS! HE DID GOOD AND ONLY CRIED FOR A MINUTE, BUT HE WAS ALL SMILES RIGHT BEFORE SHE GAVE THEM TO HIM. THAT ALWAYS MAKES IT EVEN HARDER! HE WAS FINE AS SOON AS I PICKED HIM UP. HE IS JUST A HEALTHY LITTLE MAN AND WEIGHED 15 LBS 2 OZS (50 TH PERCENTILE) AND 26 1/4 (90TH PERCENTILE). WE DID CHANGE HIS FORMULA TO SOY AND STARTED ON NEXIUM FOR HIS REFLUX, SO HOPEFULLY THE SPITTING UP WILL GET BETTER. I HAVE NOTICED WHEN I PUT THE NEXIUM IN HIS BOTTLE HE WILL NOT DRINK IT, SO I HAVE GOT TO FIND ANOTHER WAY TO GET HIM TO TAKE IT. WE HAVE TRIED SOME BABY FOOD(APPLESAUCE), BUT HE SPITS IT OUT AT ME. HE DOES GET CEREAL IN THE MORNING AND AT NIGHT, SO WE WILL JUST STICK WITH THAT FOR AWHILE. HE STILL GETS UP AROUND 4- 5 AM AND EATS AND THEN GOES BACK DOWN. HIS OTHER TOOFIE ON THE BOTTOM HIS STARTING TO BREAK THROUGH AND I THINK IT HAS REALLY BEEN BOTHERING HIM TODAY BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN FUSSY AND HE IS NEVER FUSSY! I GUESS WE WILL SEE IN A DAY OR TWO.
MORE UPDATES TO COME FROM OUR BUSY WEEK/WEEKEND AT THE LAKE, BUT WE JUST GO HOME AND IT IS LATE. ALSO, AUSTIN HAS HAD PINK EYE AND NOW AIDEN HAS IT. IT STARTED IN ONE EYE WITH AUSTIN,BUT ENDED UP IN BOTH. PLEASE PRAY THIS DOES NOT MAKE IT TO JAX. WE HAVE BEEN ON MEDICINE AND I WASH MY HANDS A HUNDRED TIMES A DAY,BUT YOU KNOW HOW CONTAGIOUS THAT IS. ANYWAYS, I WILL TRY TO GET CAUGHT UP BEFOE WE TAKE OFF TO THE LAKE AGAIN. HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

Have you tried getting the pharmacy to flavor the medicine? We did grape and when added to the milk she drank it up : )
Hey Jen, I also had the pharmacy (CVS) flavor Carter's medicine. It was at no charge and he did take it a little better. They ended up having us add Reglan to the mix and that helped more than anything. By his 1st bday he was off all of it. Reflux is hard on babies and Mommas too! Hang in there.
